Welcome Reception - "A Taste of Pittsburgh"

Conference attendees are invited to attend a Welcome Reception on Monday, November 6, sponsored by the IEEE Magnetics Society. This reception will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, overlooking the beautiful Allegheny River and the stunning bridges of Pittsburgh that help make the city such a unique place to visit. You’ll enjoy an authentic taste of the city of Pittsburgh as you sample local street food specialties like pierogis, buffalo cauliflower and those famous Pittsburgh-style sandwiches made with French fries right in the middle! And, of course, there will be a great selection of local beers. Who knows, you may even get to meet a surprise Pittsburgh celebrity! Don’t miss this fantastic kick-off event- it is a great way to start your week at MMM!

This is an opportunity to become acquainted with women in the profession and to discuss a range of topics including leadership, work-life balance, and professional development. All graduate students, researchers and retirees are encouraged to attend.

Magnetism as Art Showcase

The 2017 MMM Conference is pleased to announce a new event, "Magnetism as Art Showcase", to highlight the beauty of magnetism and magnetic materials.
