New This Year!

A symposium is focused on a single theme of particularly high interest to the magnetism and magnetic materials community. For MMM 2026, symposia sessions will be a blend of invited and contributed presentations. If submitting a symposium nomination, it should include only three (3) invited speakers. The remaining slots will be filled by contributed presentations submitted during the abstract submission phase which will be upgraded to symposia short oral or invited talks as recommended by the Program Committee.

NOMINATIONS SUBMISSION SCHEDULE

Site opens December 1, 2025 and closes January 16, 2026.

Individual invited presentations and symposia are an important aspect of the scientific program. All invited speakers (single speakers and symposia) must present onsite.  Please confirm with the person being nominated that they agree to present in-person. Nominations, for both single invited speakers and symposia, must be submitted online via the ScholarOne abstract system. You should be prepared to provide a description for single speaker and symposium nominations which has a limit of 1500 characters.  For symposium nominations, you will also need to provide a description for each speaker's presentation which will have a limit of 1500 characters per speaker.

NEW THIS YEARSymposia sessions will be a blend of invited and contributed presentations. If submitting a symposia nomination, it should include only three (3) invited speakers. The remaining slots will be filled by contributed presentations submitted during the abstract submission phase which will be upgraded to symposia short oral or invited talks as recommended by the Program Committee.

To increase the possibility of success for your nomination, please consider:

  • including speakers who did not give invited talks in the most recent conferences;

  • keeping in mind diversity of topics and speakers from our community;

  • listing recent references related to the nominated work;

  • commenting on the presentation capability and availability of the speakers; and

  • having a very attractive symposium title.

All invited speakers will be contacted by the Program Committee Co-Chairs by February 6, 2026. A nomination does not guarantee an invited talk. If accepted, invited speakers will need to submit an abstract via the Invited Speaker Submission Center by April 24, 2026. Details will be sent to invited speakers in their acceptance notifications. If a nomination is not accepted, we encourage all speakers that were part of the nomination to submit an abstract for consideration as a contributed presentation. Please note, that nominations for symposia and invited talks do not carry forward for consideration as regular contributions.

New Abstract Submission Schedule

Abstract submission site opens February 9, 2026 and closes April 24, 2026. If you need an early decision for visa applications, you should submit your abstract no later than February 23, 2026.
