Aloha!
The capital city of Honolulu, which means “sheltered bay”, is located on the beautiful island of O’ahu. This East meets West multi-cultural city has numerous military bases, cultural centers and museums, active volcanoes, beautiful beaches including the famous Waikiki with a stunning few of Diamond Head, incredible shopping and world-class restaurants to visit. A one-hour drive to the North Shore of O’ahu will give you a front-row seat to the 7-mile stretch of the big wave surfing capital of the world, with swells up to thirty feet or more. Between November and February is the best time to see big wave surfing as the North Shore hosts the world’s premier surfing competitions, however, there are lots of activities for visitors out of the water as well, including hiking, golf, horseback riding, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the surfer town of Haleʻiwa, and the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge.
The other five islands, Kauaʻi, Hawai’i, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi, and Maui, each have their own unique personality and unlimited options for adventure and activity. They are easily accessible by a short-hop flight or ferry.
