Communication is an essential part of science


AND if you do it well then audiences will love you,

BUT it's not easy because it requires that you use narrative structure,

THEREFORE we will spend this workshop using the ABT (And, But, Therefore) Framework to learn narrative structure and communicate with clarity.

In this 3-part workshop, Narrative Instructor Matthew David of the ABT Institute will:

  • Teach you the ABT Framework

  • Lead you through iterative, hands-on exercises that apply to your own work, and

  • Start you on your journey of developing “narrative intuition.” 


Note this is a 3-part Workshop!

  • The first class will be held via Zoom October 26 before the conference.

  • The second class will be held in-person November 4 at MMM in Honolulu!

  • The final class will be held via Zoom November 16 after the conference.
